Living BoHo on Park Av.

Yesterday morning we visited an old haunt, Briar Patch, dining on buttered pecan waffles and omelets filled with Greek olives, feta cheese, and caramelized onions. Casually dining, restfully conversing, we visited with our server, Kate, and her helper, Tim--a literature major taking a semester off to pay off credit cards and school bills. It's one of many places along "the Park" that allows bohemians and bankers equal status and access. Over the years, we have bicycled the avenue, strolled and window shopped, watched shops open and close, always enjoying the flowers in spring, the sweater weather in winter, and the long summers where mist seemingly hangs above the brick street waiting for direction. And there has always been those moments when we learn a little something new, like yesterday. Kate introduced us to the BoHo life--where even bohemians have been reduced to IMs. It's a Park Av thing.

Yes, it was a beautiful thing, strolling the Avenue. And strolling with your best friend makes it the best thing. I'm hearing the beat of a drum somewhere...anyone up for the Boho life???
