I have often heard that patience is a virtue rarely found in men, but never found in women. While my wife would disagree with this proverb, I must confess that waiting for 4 1/2 years to purchase a new computer is an act of patience on my part. With that said, I must confess that my new MacBook Pro, though similar in looks to my original G4 Powerbook, is an amazing machine. Even the purchasing experience, working with a "Personal Shopper" at the Apple store, was a fun "Apple only" moment. Erik, my Apple Personal Shopper, recently returned from a photo shoot in Jamaica for a surfing magazine. His "bushy bushy blond hair do" offered the iconic moment where "cool" and "smart" meet in Appleland. I wish I could have shot some video of the moment when Erik said, "you, are like, buying my dream machine, a combination of wow and awesome all rolled into productivity." Yep, you got to love a person that knows how to speak to my desire for productivity and coolness. 17" MacBook Pro is the machine. Here's to another 4 1/2 years of coolness.
