...to gather Paradise.
Last night I was listening, consuming, some of the poems performed on the accompanying CD from my new Norton "Introduction to Literature" text. As I moved through a number of readings, I landed on Garrison Keillor's rendition of Dickinson's "I Dwell in Possibility." The combination of Keillor's voice mixed with Dickinson's prose offered a wonderful moment to contemplate the "possibilities" of life. As I also "spread open [my] narrow hands to gather Paradise," I am reminded that "a fairer house than prose" awaits all who know Christ. How much more glory we will experience when we step into Paradise and no longer "dwell in possibility."
