It Takes About Two Weeks....

It takes about two weeks before my brain can slow down after the semester is complete. For the past few days, seven to be exact, I have been operating in the "isn't there something that I'm missing" mode, realizing that the run up to graduation does not allow very much personal time. Now, with significant amounts of discretionary time, I'm fidgety, wondering what I need to do, what I've missed. It's an uneasy feeling, wondering if I've forgotten to post grades, turn off the lights, submit the necessary documents to the Registrar. However, after another week, I will plug into the slower pace of summer, which only lasts until I go to PA at the end of the month. Funny thing about vacation, it takes about two weeks to get into the relaxed/hammock/sandals/ mode just when it is time to go back to work. So here's to another week of staring at the many projects sitting in my computer bag, those books I brought along but just can't seem to read. I can see the hammock from where I'm sitting. In a few days, I will be comfortable enough to appreciate the slow swing of summer.
